This is fantastic work. I'd have it up in my house, for sure.

Love the idea and the use of the shadow.

I was listening to Destruction Preventer by Sonata Arctica when I saw this and it was incredibly fitting. Fantastic job on the picture: it seems surreal but not incomprehensible.

I know it's months later, but just wanted to comment to keep up the good work! It takes a lot to make me go "WOW" and this piece did it for me! Loved it so much, I just bought a print. I first saw it on Reddit too. Anywho, keep 'em comin'!

This actually made me cry a little.

I like it. I like the way everything seems unreal. I really like the details with the edges of their clothes dissolving. I love how they are standing and how they are holding hands.

You might not be a professional but you clearly put a lot of time into that picture and you really caught something that touched me. Thanks for sharing (:

yah when i started getting 200 pageviews a minute i was pretty damn surprised as well. as for perspective, i am still very much an amateur artist... havent even graduated high school yet... so i'm not surprised at all that you can find mistakes in my work. i can say that although i didnt want my city to look realistic for the most part i stayed true to the photograph of nyc that i was using.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I hope I wasn't too harsh or something. :)
I just wasn't aware If You are aware. From my experience there
aren't many people to tell You your mistakes at drawing.
More than 99% just say that everything is awesome and nice
so they just rub and lick your ass. I hate it.
I'm just not the kind of person who likes it because good
criticism is always better. I like to make progress in my
every drawing. If i don't get slight progress i must have
done something wrong. :)

I am not sure if you are aware of this site:
[link]
I have learned some pretty good things from there.
Even if you don't want to draw hyperrealistic it is
just good to know how and can draw like that.
So you can draw better in your own style and choose
whats best for you as you are familiar with different
techniques. :)

Good luck. ;)

yah this was actually my first time drawing buildings, im one of those people who usually doesnt do backrounds and just draws people or animals doing random stuff. i was curious where you saw outstanding problems with the perspective? other then crooked lines and whatnot, cause i obviously dont have an eye for it.

So awesome! I'm even ignoring the shadow becoming narrow instead of staying it's full size. Unless that's actually a skinny building up there.

well its the empire state building, and i cant imagine how a shadow would look if the sun were that close to the horizon. but i did take some liberties im sure in order to make it work for the overall image :)

I understand, but remember the further away a shadow is from it's source the larger it gets.  The image looks great, but the shadow of the building would be larger, not only a few feet wide.
